Other writings referred to in the Bible

2Chronicles 9:29 Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?

2Chronicles 12:15 Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the book of Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer concerning genealogies? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.

Regarding the book of Enoch

Though not included in the Biblical canon I have appended it at the end of the Old Testament in The Interrogated Bible for those interested in finding out how Enoch perceived things. The book would chronologically fit inside the Book of Genesis but for the reader it would disrupt the continuity flow of Genesis. Thus I made reference to it where Enoch in the seventh generation from Adam is mentioned.

In the early days of research for the Interrogated Bible I had partially investigated the book of Enoch (which is indirectly referred to in the letter of Jude) . Then after hearing a 1977-78 recording (from John Todd, an ex 32nd degree Freemason who gave his life to Jesus Christ in 1972) about how witches use the book of Enoch, I set it aside. Then I later discovered there are different versions of the book of Enoch (one genuine and others witchcraft). Then I realized from Wikipedia and a few other websites that I could find a genuine version Enoch which I have now made available arranged in logical order according to Andy McCracken who rearranged the order of the M.A. Knibb version, but finally outputted in chronological order respectively using the R.H. Charles version (due to copyright infringement risks using the Knibb version published in 1978).

The believed to be genuine Book of Enoch, though not included in the Biblical Canon, has many parallel passages in the Book of Revelation.

Because the original Ethiopian text converted from Hebrew is very difficult to convert to the English language there are frequent discrepancies between the M.A. Knibb and R.H. Charles translations When discrepancies in translation are noted in certain verses then a table showing both translations is displayed.

Regarding the Book of Jashar

Jashar is referred to in Joshua and 2Samuel.

Joshua10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

2Samuel 1:18 (Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jasher.)

Jashar parallels the first six books of the Bible (Genesis through Joshua). Where the parallels exist I have put parallel accounts side by side in tables in The Interrogated Bible. I have also integrated the first six books and Jashar to flow together chronologically. The Book of Jashar is also known as "The Book of the Upright".
